However due to a recent update they now only live in one place: The Brimhaven Dungeon, which costs 875 coins to enter. Red dragons drop two items every single time they die: Red Dragonhide and Dragon Bones. At the time of writing this guide dragon bones are worth roughly 2000 coins and red dragonhide is worth about 5000 coins. This means each dragon you kill makes you ~7000 gp. Every trip you make to these creatures will be 13 kills with the setup I show you. Each trip of 13 dragons yields you 7,540 experience in ranged. Each trip takes roughly 18 minutes. Rounding the previous number up and you get in roughly 3 trips per hour. Each trip of 13 dragons, taking both hides and bones will yield you at the time of the writing of this guide about 92k. This means that each hour you are getting roughly 275k and about 22k ranged xp. While you don't need stats like these for this to be profitable I do recommend at least having 70 ranged for the black dragon hide armor, as well as at least 40 defense so the dogs do not hit you very often, if you happen to be attacked. Other than having 70 ranged and having Animal Magnetism done, there are no requirements, however karamja gloves 3 are nice to have, as you will not need to pay the 875 gp to enter the dungeon. Section 4- Getting There The method that I like to use requires for you to have multiple amulet of glories for their teleportation abilities. Basically you will start out in the TzHaar city in the volcano on Karamja, then go west towards Brimhaven and you will go east until you leave the town. Then you go south until you reach the mines and see a person standing outside a door. Talk to him and give him 875 gp. Once in the dungeon follow this map, cutting with your axe and completing the agility challenges where appropriate. Once you get to the red dragon room you will want to run all the way to the top of the room because that is where all the best safe spots are. Section 5- Safe Spots In order to kill these things without using a lot food you must utilize the safe spots in the dungeon. There are 6 safe spots that I have personally found and I am going to post screen shots of what I believe are the best safe spots. The reason you haven't ran into anybody else doing it is because they are the most inefficient dragon to kill. They have the longest and most costly route to get to, they take longer to kill and the hides are hard to sell because not many people need red dragonhide armour.
